Recognition Route 01
Institutional Recognition
Recognition of a defined institutional capability, contribution or aerospace role.
01 / Institutional Recognition
Recognition of a defined institutional capability, contribution or aerospace role.
Institutional Recognition may acknowledge an eligible member organization whose institutional purpose, governance, relevant activities or contribution can be demonstrated against published Recognition criteria. It always applies to a clearly defined institutional scope and is never blanket approval of the entire organization.
Status: In Development
This Recognition route is currently in development. Detailed criteria and member-request procedures will be published before requests are accepted.

Institutional capability
The route is in development. The following interpretation explains existing public descriptions; it does not add eligibility rules or open requests.
Identity, governance and relevant activity
An institutional purpose, defined responsibilities and relevant evidence establish context. Recognition of a specified capability or role is not approval of every activity.
A scope-specific institutional conclusion
Keep the institutional subject distinct from an education programme, a product, an employee or a regulatory authorization.
Eligibility and subject
The organization is the subject; the public record states the limited institutional scope.
Potential eligible institutional members may include aerospace research institutions, universities or specialist institutes, aerospace associations, professional bodies, non-profit aerospace organizations, research centres, education-focused institutions, aerospace knowledge organizations, sector-support institutions and relevant technical organizations.
The applicant organization must first hold appropriate active Aerospace Federation membership. Membership alone does not demonstrate the Recognition criteria.
Review areas
Evidence must support an identifiable institutional conclusion.
Clear organizational basis
Legal or formal identity, organizational purpose, relevant aerospace connection and continuity may be considered.
Responsible structures
Governance structure, responsibility, decision accountability, policies and conflict-management arrangements may be reviewed.
Relevant contribution
Current programmes, research, education, technical work, professional activity and sector contribution may be relevant.
Capability in context
Relevant personnel, expertise, organizational capability and supporting infrastructure may be considered where appropriate.
Verifiable information
Public information, documented programmes, defined responsibilities and verifiable activities support a clear review.
Current institutional practice
Internal review, programme evaluation, activity updates and corrective processes may be relevant to the stated scope.
Evidence and limitations
Recognition follows the evidence; it does not extend beyond it.
Evidence may include
- Legal or institutional documentation
- Governance records and organizational structure
- Policies, activity reports and research outputs
- Programme documentation and staff or expert profiles
- Public information and aerospace activity evidence
- Relevant external approvals as supporting context
It does not constitute
- Accreditation, certification or regulatory approval
- Product, service or airworthiness approval
- Government, financial or commercial endorsement
- Approval of every activity, programme or employee
- Any broader statement than the official Recognition record
Institutional Recognition applies only to the scope shown in the official Recognition record.
Maintenance
Institutional Recognition must remain current.
Future maintenance may include periodic review, updated institutional information, material-change notification, evidence refresh, scope review, suspension where necessary and withdrawal where requirements are no longer met.
Member-only route
Review the criteria before this route opens.
Active membership provides access to a controlled Recognition process. Evidence and an independent decision determine the result.
