Education & Training Recognition

Recognition of a defined aerospace learning and professional-development programme.

Recognition of defined aerospace learning and professional-development programmes.

Education & Training Recognition may acknowledge a defined aerospace education, technical training or professional-development programme delivered or owned by an eligible institutional member. The recognized subject is the programme itself and does not automatically extend to the entire institution.

Status: In Development

This Recognition route is currently in development. Detailed criteria and member-request procedures will be published before requests are accepted.

Read this route / subject and boundary

A named learning programme

The route is in development. The following interpretation explains existing public descriptions; it does not add eligibility rules or open requests.

Evidence context

Purpose, outcomes and delivery

Programme specification, learning outcomes, subject sequence, delivery and assessment records need to describe the same learning programme.

Conclusion boundary

Programme scope, not the whole institution

Delivery by a member or the Aerospace Academy does not create automatic Recognition. Programme review and the decision remain separate functions.

Read the review framework

A programme needs a defined educational purpose, structure and owner.

Potential subjects include aerospace professional-development programmes, technical training, continuing professional development, executive aerospace education, university-industry learning programmes, specialist short courses, structured engineering learning, space-technology training, aviation technical education and aerospace workforce-development programmes.

Ordinary one-off events are not automatically eligible programmes. The responsible programme owner or delivering institution should normally hold eligible active Corporate or Institutional Membership, according to its commercial or non-commercial nature.

Learning quality is assessed through the defined programme evidence.

Programme purpose

Audience and relevance

Review may consider the target audience, intended purpose and aerospace relevance.

Learning objectives

Defined outcomes

Learning outcomes, appropriate depth and alignment between objectives and delivery may be assessed.

Curriculum

Structured content

Programme structure, subject coverage, sequence and current technical relevance may be reviewed.

Instructor competence

Relevant expertise

Education, experience, subject expertise and professional background may be considered.

Delivery and assessment

Responsible learning controls

Methodology, practical components, participant support, assessment integrity and record keeping may be relevant.

Quality and governance

Review over time

Feedback, curriculum updates, programme responsibility and revision control may be assessed.

The Recognition is limited to the named programme and published scope.

Evidence may include

  • Programme specification, curriculum and syllabus
  • Learning objectives, timetable and course materials
  • Instructor CVs or profiles
  • Assessment methodology and sample assessments
  • Quality procedures, feedback process and review records
  • Attendance and completion controls

It does not constitute

  • Educational or degree accreditation
  • Degree equivalence or government recognition
  • Professional licensing or registration
  • Automatic academic credit or employment eligibility
  • Certification of every participant or Recognition of the whole institution

Education & Training Recognition evaluates the defined programme within its published scope. It does not replace national education, licensing or accreditation systems.

Programme delivery and Recognition review are separate functions.

Aerospace Academy may develop education, deliver training, host workshops and coordinate professional development. It does not receive Recognition automatically. Any future Academy programme review must use the same published criteria, appropriately independent reviewers, conflict management and a separate decision function.

Programme Recognition may require review after a major curriculum, ownership, instructor-model, assessment or delivery change, a material quality concern or expiry of the Recognition period.

Understand the review standard for a defined programme.

Membership provides access to the controlled process; it does not make a programme eligible by itself.
